American Vintage Spring Summer 2010 Collection

Posted by Fifiluxe on March 20th, 2010

Showing the American Vintage Summer 2010 collection in Sydney was a real treat this week. I became instantly lost in the ice-cream colours, paper thin cottons, baby stripe and summery weighted, oversized cable knits. The line has taken a huge leap forward, with a strong fashion component shining through that complimented the basics perfectly. Loads of easy dresses, light-weight jackets, layering knits, harem pants and feminine tops. Cottons were in abundance…think silky, slubby, flecky and clean finishes. Shades of pearl, sand and earth mixed with soft peach, litchee and cloud blue highlighted what is fast becoming our most in demand brand. The collection is really growing in Australia and selling so well. As for the fifiluxe selection? It was tough but you will love it! Check out the video from the press day in Paris recently…J’espère que vous aimez!

Beautiful as always!!  My favourite American Vintage pieces this season are the Boston marle dress in pearl, with the Jacksonville cadigan in light grey…teamed with embellished flats, a soft leather handbag and oversized sunglasses…a heavenly summer ensemble!

Get the look…

The obsession continues…Balmain’s S’09 runway collection blitzed the opening of Paris Fashion Week and gave the industry an electrifying dose of rock-chic glamour. Christolphe Decarnin is a true genius (and the most gorgeous, over sized, gentle Frenchman ever). His crystal laden bandage wrap dresses, Michael Jackson military style jackets, sky-high studded diamante sandals and seriously stonewashed jeans made for an insatiable show that left the fashion world begging for more. Want the look? Easy. Start with the Rare velvet trim jacket, mix in the American Vintage lilac tank and add J Brand’s stonewashed Thrasher jean. Voila!
