Sigh…the delightful tones of the European Culture Spring Summer 2011 collection that we are showing nationally over a six week sales campaign starting this week. So beautiful, the range presents an abundance of thoughtfully designed pieces, with earthy textured yarns and soft flowing cottons. True heaven!

Tim just arrived back from Paris and Venice for the Nolita and Rare conference so all our Edwards Imports east coast teams gathered for our bi-annual sales meeting at head office this week. So much energy and excitement for the new S 2011 collections, they are just beautiful! Rare was a standout with earthy tones, unstructured jacketing, killer pants and a heavenly linen knit component. The design team have done it again!

Summer 10 deliveries are coming in hard and fast with Nolita, Freddy the Club and the J Brand the first to arrive into our busy warehouse. The stock has come through beautifully in production and makes the impending Spring/Summer season an exciting prospect! The next few months will be incredibly hectic with allocation and dispatch our main priority!

Busy, busy, busy! In our head office this week…It’s so good to be amongst the bulging racks in the warehouse. We have shipped out the majority of the winter deliveries, now it’s time to finalise next season’s collections and make sure all the orders are in. Still a fair bit of selling to go, should finish by the end of Australian Fashion Week next month, then it all starts again for next season!

It’s raining in Sydney this week, but the Odd Molly and Freddy the Club Winter 2011 collections are keeping me smiling. Odd Molly presented a mezmorizing colour palette of vintage chalk, powder and almost black pieces, mixed with subtle prints and heavenly butter-soft knits. Freddy the Club was signature in style with oversized jersey hoodies, relaxed cobweb knits, brow-beaten leather and edgy, waxed cotton pants in tones of taupe, stone and ice-ice baby blue.

I’ve just finished showing the Nolita Winter 2011 collection from Italy in Sydney. A very busy week! The range was very well received with all the boutiques buying consistently in all areas. Nolita just seems to be going from strength to strength, always maintaining it’s “Nolita” look and always introducing new and innovative styling and a definitive to-the-minute high-fashion component. Being a European collection, I fall in love with the heavy knits, jackets and coats. Even though we mostly sell these to Melbourne and New Zealand! Colours were gorgeous…stay tuned!
