Today we spent the day browsing hip boutique area Soho and visiting Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Ave, Bloomingdales, Barneys and Henri Bendel’s to see if there were any new must-have brands for Australia. We seem to have everything well and truly covered, J Brand still dominating the premium denim in all areas! The Sak’s Fifth Avenue designer shoe floor is by far the shoe floor of the moment with an astronomical selection of spring shoes (Bergdorf’s was also amazing). A pair of patent nude Christian Louboutin pumps, some Miu Miu jewelled flats and a chocolate brown Gucci bag should do me for the season. Yes chocolate, after four season’s of a virtually non-existent chocolate brown fashion world, it’s starting to see the light again and I am loving its subtle return. As for Gordon Ramsay, what can I say? The daft Scot/Englishman, with his delectable souffles, confits & consommes cannot be criticized…typical.

New York, New York

Touchdown! The three of us arrived in our favourite city last night for our annual US work trip - four days of buying, label conferences and shopping, shopping, shopping! (and of course eating in gorgeous cafes and restaurants). Staying at The London this year, I must say it’s lovely. Better than The Alex, nothing like The Hudson, but very classic New York with chic rooms and Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant ‘Maze’ downstairs. Definitely going to be a harsh food critic at this one, but with two Michelin stars and attitude to boot, I’m guessing it will be more than good. Arriving late after a very long trip, we braved the cold and walked the glorious streets, buzzing with life and thick New York accents. We stumbled across a delightful little Italian restaurant, Il Gattopardo on 54th. A true hole-in-the-wall local haunt accompanied by three divine Italians, a magnificent vongole spagettini and a superb glass of Pinot - we were well and truly done for the night. Tomorrow will be a big day!
